TestOptimal is a unique test automation tool based on Model-Based Testing (MBT). It is an automation tool with full debugging capability to help you achieve better testing coverage.

Unlike traditional automation tools, you start by creating a baviour model (state diagram) from the requirements and specifications for the application under test(AUT). Future changes are handled by making adjustments to the model. Developing test automation for existing web application can be done in a matter of minutes.

Debugging is made easy with its animated model and sequence graphs which are highlighted as the model is being debugged. The ability to execute dynamic commands allows you to interogate the state of AUT during debugging.

Data-Driven Testing (DDT) can be performed without scripting. In fact DDT is a component of the model. The built-in Pairwise and N-wise test optimization helps you create minimum data sets to achieve the desired testing coverage.

Once the model and automation script are completed, they are used for functional testing, cross browser testing and even performance and load testing. For example, with just a few key clicks and with no model/script changes you can expose your application to a realistic production load of users simultanenously running legal test cases randomly generated from the model.

TestOptimal can be integrated with your existing testing frameworks and automation tools, allowing you to leverage existing testing assets and resources. For example, you can build the model in TestOptimal to remotely execute VBScript on QTP or output the generated test sequence in any language syntax like TTCN and Python for offline testing.

With its web-client/server architecture, you can develop model, write script, execute models and monitor model executions anywhere with a browser or even iPhone / BlackBerry.

Poedit 1.4.6...

Poedit is cross-platform gettext catalogs (.po files) editor. It is built with wxWidgets toolkit and can run on any platform supported by it (although it was only tested on Unix with GTK+ and Windows). It aims to provide more convenient approach to editing catalogs than launching vi and editing the file by hand.

Here is a brief features list:

  • Unlike other catalogs editors, Poedit shows data in very compact way. Entries are aranged in a list, so that you can easily navigate large catalogs and immediately get an idea about how big part of the catalog is already translated, what needs translating and which parts are only translated in a "fuzzy" way.
  • Runs on Unix and Windows systems.
  • Plural forms support.
  • Features whitespaces highlighting.
  • Fuzzy and untranslated records are highlighted and displayed at the top of the list.
  • Automatic compilation of .mo files (optional).

NTrace is a combination of a runtime framework and a code preprocessor that provides an API for using Event Tracing for Windows (ETW) in your managed code. In practice, it's a lot like theWindows Trace Preprocessor.

There are two high-level reasons why you'd want to use NTrace. The first is that it allows you to have trace instrumentation that can be enabled and disabled at runtime without having to modify any configuration files. The second is that the tracing capabilities provided by the ETW subsystem are very efficient and flexible. We've tried to preserve as much of the simplicity of using Trace.WriteLine while providing access to all of the features of WPP/ETW. The end result is that you have a great way to troubleshoot your code when it's out in the field.

FMOD Designer 4.30 ...

FMOD Designer provides access to FMOD Ex's advanced low-level features to sound designers, without the need for programming knowledge. This comprehensive sound design tool allows simple or complex sound events to be modeled and created by the sound designer. The capabilities would include such things as layering, effects, random behaviour, and stitching of sounds. The aim of this tool is to give control of the artistic direction of the audio to the sound designer - and not the programmer.

The sound designer may specify the in game audio within Designer and simply supply the programmer with assets and an event list to implement.

Model Complex Events
The event editor screen allows for complex audio models, such as car engines, dynamic background ambience and crowd simulations to be created. These models may included multiple layers of samples, crossfading, property randomization and automated effects. 3D audio effects for simulating distance can be automatically attached to the FMOD Ex audio engine. FMOD Designer also includes additional audition tools to help the sound designer preview their work.

Profiler

DeVIDE, or the Delft Visualization and Image processing Development Environment, is a Python-based dataflow application builder that enables the rapid prototyping of medical visualization and image processing applications via visual programming. In other words, by visually connecting functional blocks (think Yahoo pipes), you can create cool visualizations.

DeVIDE is distributed as part of the DRE, or DeVIDE Runtime Environment. Glint monitor shows system activity by making visible system performance counters in local or remote Windows PC.
The program goal is to provide an overall dynamic picture of current system status. Detailed information on system performance can be collected and analyzed with advanced monitoring tools like Process Explorer and Microsoft Performance Monitor. 

The utility displays up to 200 indicators, each showing data from a single system performance counter. Recent counter values can be also shown as graphs. The monitor also displays the most active processes in system in descending CPU activity order. System counter names and their last values are shown in tool tips, when hovering mouse cursor over the indicators.
