ATI Catalyst Driver Hotfix to improve Dirt 2 performance
Problem Description:
ATI CrossFireX™ is not being utilized when playing Dirt 2.
Solution:
AMD has developed a Hotfix to resolve this issue. This Hotfix applies only to PCI-Express graphic card in the Radeon™ HD-series.
Note! This driver is provided as-is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed full AMD testing, and is only recommended for users experiencing the particular issue described above.

ATI have for many years had their hands tied with laptop manufacturers (OEMS) who request that ATI do not offer support for their device in the Catalyst Driver. AMD (formerly ATI) introduced the concept of Catalyst Mobility which is a generic driver that works decently for most laptops. The only way they are able to do this is through permission by a laptop manufacturer (OEM) to include their device in the Catalyst Mobility. ATI is the first company to provide graphics drivers for laptops to the general public, and they believe there is great value in this. At this point ATI only have permission from a few vendors. The application is recoded in .net framework by the wonderful Ruud Ketelaars which is natively supported in vista and it is a very compact little program which will install no spyware, malware or anything we could class as dubious.
