PrintUsage Pro is a system designed for one main purpose, to reduce the cost involved in running and maintaining a printing resource. Without having properly managed users and printers, these costs can easily get out of control. To help with this problem, a quota scheme can be implemented to charge users for the printing they request. Advanced features of the PrintUsage Pro quota management system allow for color/mono tone print jobs to be charged differently and even different charges for different sizes of paper. Various methods of implementing this quota scheme are supported by PrintUsage Pro: A traditional manual quota system which will deny a user from printing anything when their quota has expired or an implementation to renew quota automatically after a given length of time, allowing a user to only print so much per day/week/month or year.
