A smartphone will soon join the Pop range at attractive prices for the brand called Alcatel One Touch. It will be called as Pop D5 and should be positioned below 100 euros.
This smartphone Alcatel Pop D5 begins to walk the stalls in September to succeed the Alcatel Pop C5 model introduced in late 2013.
Compared to the previous model, it will offer a quad-core 1.3GHz processor (instead of dual-core 1.3 GHz), a rear camera of 5 megapixels with 720p (instead of 5 megapixel with 480p) and the Android 4.4 KitKat (instead of 4.2 Jelly Bean). It is also a little thinner and a little lighter, with a thickness of 10mm instead of 11.5mm and weighs only 150 grams instead of 157 grams.
For the rest, it has 512 MB of RAM, flash memory of 4 GB expandable with MicroSD (up to 32GB). It also comes with 4.5-inch WVGA (854 x 480 pixels resolution) screen, 3G+ compatibility, Wi-Fi N/BT 4.0/GPS/FM connections, VGA webcam and a battery of 1800 mAh with a battery life of around 10 hours in communication.
The price was not disclosed. As an indication, the Alcatel Pop C5 is less than 85 euros.
