Philips has recently announed its new smartphone in India called the Xenium W6610. The cost of this device is Rs. 20,650 in the Indian market.
Philips Xenium W6610 has a weight of 200 grams with dimensions of 145.4×74.1×11.4mm. This makes the smartphone quite heavy compared to some other competitors in the same segment.
The Xenium W6610 smartphone has a 5-inch display screen with only 540×960 pixels resolution display. This makes the phone very standard for a mid-range category. This resolution and pixel density of the smartphone is too low compared to cheapers models from Micromax or any other mobile phone company. It boasts a quad-core 1.3GHz processor with 1GB RAM, 4GB of flash memory expandable to microSD card slot upto 32GB, an 8MP camera, and a 2MP front facing cam. It also has support for dual-SIM (GSM+GSM)
You also get an old Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system running in the Philips Xenium W6610 onboard. Nothing is mentioned from the company whether the smartphone would be upgradable to Android 4.4.2 Kitkat or not.
The biggest feature of the handset is its 5300mAh battery and is no doubt the highlight as well. However, unfortunately we weren't able to spend enough with the Xenium W6610 to check the battery performance.
The best feature of this mobile phone is that it has a 5400mAh battery which delivers upto 33 hours of talk-time and 1600 hours of standby time.
