Philips launches affordable Android smartphones in the Chinese market, omitting other emerging markets.
The latest phone launched by the company to the market in question is called Xenium W9588 and has recently been discovered by UnwiredView through mydrivers website.
The Philips Xenium W9588 has a folding form factor and comes with dual 3.5-inch WVGA screen with 480 x 800 pixels.
The smartphone has a MediaTek quad core 1.2 GHz processor with 1 GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory which can be expanded via a microSD memory card up to 32GB.
The phone is powered by a Li-Ion 2400 mAh battery that should provide up to 16 hours of talk time or up to 10 hours of web browsing. The Philips Xenium W9588 will be distributed with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
