One of the most popular Indian brands XOLO has introduced its cheapest quad-core smartphone called XOLO Q500s IPS with processor-based on MediaTek MT6582M 4 cores Cortex-A7 @ 1.3 GHz and Mali 400 MP2 graphics solution. The device is already posted on the manufacturer's website at a price of Rs. 6000 (about $100), but it is not clear when it goes on sale.
The product has received 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal flash memory (plus a slot for microSD memory card), and support for two SIM-cards (GSM and 3G HSPA+ at 21 Mbit/s). Among other things, there is mention of a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED-flash and front VGA-camera for video calls and self-portraits.
The device is endowed with a 4-inch IPS-display with a resolution of 480 × 800 pixels. According to the manufacturer, the unit supports recording and playback of Full HD (1920 × 1080). It also supports wireless standards of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Autonomous operation provides a battery capacity of 1500 mAh.
Dimensions of the device are 125 × 63.2 × 9 mm, the manufacturer separately said that the decision was taken on thin frame around the display. The smartphone is running the latest version of the operating system from Google, i.e; Android 4.4 KitKat. XOLO Q500s IPS should appear on the shelves of the Indian stores soon in five colors: black, blue, green, red and white.
