Oppo R5 has a default ColorOS Recovery screen. It only supports the official Oppo ROM. You cannot flash any third party rom through this. There is no stable version of CWM or TWRP recovery yet released for Oppo R5. But if still you find and you had flashed that and your device is not turning on then you can restore the ColorOS instantly through a simple tool. It is also helpful to fix a bricked phone. You have to update all Oppo drivers on your system before doing this. With that you also need Android ADB setup. By default when you connect Oppo R5 to your pc it will install all the drivers. You have to turn on USB debugging for flashing the Stock Recovery. Reverify all the drivers before moving ahead. For this process you need two things. First the official ColorOS recovery image and second Minimal Adb Fastboot tool. Try to follow the process properly.
Download ColorOS Recovery image files. Download Minimal ADB Fastboot Tool. Copy them all on Desktop in a single folder. Rename the recovery image file to recovery.img.
Enable USB Debugging from Settings > About > Tap on Build number continuously. Go back to settings under General scroll down to More > Developer Options.
Turn on USB Debugging. Connect the device to a Windows and update all the drivers. Do not attempt to move ahead without it.
Install Minimal ADB Fastboot tool. Launch the software and type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and hit enter. Verify that the phone has enough battery in it. Switch off the device. Hold Volume Up + Power to turn on the device in fastboot mode. You will see that on screen. Connect the device to PC and done, the tool will flash the recovery image on the device.
