Vanquish Walkthrough – Playstation 3

Introduction:

There is a little less than two years, Sega had announced a
collaboration with the young studio PlatinumGames for the release of
four games. If Bayonetta, Infinite Space and MadWorld are already
available, the fourth draft was released for the first time in his
hideout in late January, in the form of a short video quite intriguing.
Almost a month later, in the tower of Roppongi in Tokyo that we could
actually see the game for half an hour with his director Shinji Mikami.
The story of VANQUISH is set in the near future. Russia and the United
States are vying for ownership of the world’s fast-depleting energy
resources and the US has constructed a space station in order to
harness energy from the sun. Russian forces capture this space station
and divert its harvested solar energy into a blast wave that destroys
San Francisco, aiming to force the US into a total and unconditional
surrender. In response, the US tasks its armed forces with recapturing
the space station before the Russians can annihilate their next target
– New York.

Reluctant to make public appearances and even less to travel to meet
the press, Shinji Mikami, however, was all smiles and in great shape
last week in Tokyo during the presentation of Vanquish, the new big
project after four long years of absence. We had indeed left the game
designer in Japan in 2006 on God Hand which had divided the players
respect and criticism. A hair resentful, rebellious former employee of
Capcom also did not lose to "thank" the editor of IGN for this test of
their God Hand, before specifying any meeting that the Vanquish was In
no case PN03. Once this development made, he was pleased to offer a
demo of its upcoming game, Dual Shock 3 in hand. As one might guess by
looking at the first video released by PlatinumGames, the atmosphere
Vanquish is futuristic, with a heavy emphasis on advanced technology,
robotics and attack the United States by Russia with strong hints of
‘After September 11, 2001.

Vanquish Hero:

Although the details of scenario and background characters are
currently very thin, we know nonetheless that the action takes place
mainly on a giant space station within 10 km radius and 27 km long in
orbit around the ground. Aboard this colony, a team of human
well-equipped and trained for combat duty will battle hordes of robots
and other bipedal mechas multifaceted to say the least hostile. The
player will play Sat Gaiden, Team Leader and Scientific DARPA protected
by a combination consisting of a white alloy and carbon fiber as part
of his invention – the LRA for Augmented Reaction Suit – recalling both
armor d ‘Halo that the combination of Vanessa in PN03 or exo-skeleton
of Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 4. The winks to the series of Kojima
Productions will also not stop there since the early minutes of the
demo, we saw that the hero could open the visor of his helmet grill for
a smoke nonchalantly while radio communication with his teammates or
the seductive operator Elena Ivanova shared some similarities with the
emblematic conversations Snake via codec.

In terms of gameplay, Vanquish based however more Lost Planet and Gears
of War, as well as Call of Duty Modern Warfare by Shinji Mikami, even
if it has been difficult to actually see the 20 minute presentation
What was the influence of Securities of Infinity Ward. Qualified fast
action shooter by his sire, Vanquish looks like an action game in the
third person very nervous and only playable solo, despite the continued
presence of teammates managed by the IA and whose names appear in above
their heads. Unlike many third person shooters, the main character’s
movements are very fast, especially when using the back of its
propellant combination for top speed drag to any position in
semi-recumbent on the ground. This rush can also temporarily serve to
avoid enemy fire to rush towards an enemy to hit in melee, unless it
needs it to take cover as quickly as possible. Aware of fads, Mikami
has actually included a cover system in its new title, with a handful
of classic pop movement (crossing over the obstacle, shooting blindly,
special move over the barrier / protection) without making a prima
facie game strongly based on "camp".

Serious Speed Sat:

Staying mobile is apparently essential to avoid being taken to reverse
or remove a powerful explosive (grenades, missiles), but also to lend a
hand to set teammates down. It is unclear to what extent the rescue of
a comrade in trouble will be rewarded, even if the bonuses that appear
on the battlefield and the items on the scoreboard at the end of the
demo mission provided few clues. Vanquish seems to adopt a philosophy
very similar to that of arcade games, rewarding talented players extra
points and improvements – capacity and power – for weapons. To justify
the famous weapon change real time in vogue for several years without
requiring Sam to carry all the paraphernalia of war on him, developers
have found a simple but elegant: when trying to move from a machine gun
at a shotgun or a grenade launcher, the weapon is right that becomes a
second to adopt the desired size. Already seen elsewhere but treated
well, this idea is not only borrowed the game PlatinumGames, who also
use bullet time, the acrobatic dodges, the QTE bigger than life, the
boss giant whose weaknesses shine of orange farting and waves of
missiles launched without restraint.

Nothing revolutionary for the time then, but the cocktail has already
obtained an enchanting aroma, not to mention surprises and flashes of
genius that we can expect from a collaboration between Shinji Mikami
and the studio responsible for Bayonetta and MadWorld. A one or two
little problems except that we put on the account of the version work
in progress, all elements are fully managed by the game engine,
optimized version of that used for Bayonetta. The action is a quick,
very smooth almost insolent, animations of the heroes sweat class and
overall achievement is currently quite the level of what we can expect
from a title large current budget. If you believe the declarations of
fresh Shinji Mikami magazine Famitsu, Vanquish is currently 80%
complete and the development team – the last two years working on the
project – is now focusing on a variety of important settings for the
balance of gameplay, starting with the AI of enemies there are still
deficiencies in the presentation. Knowing that the game’s release is
scheduled for next winter on PS3 and Xbox 360, with a possible
downloadable demo upstream, there is still some time to PlatinumGames
to refine her last baby before you leave in the hands of players . One
thing is certain: we can not wait that day arrives.

The game will resume a pattern well known, that place you in a future
where countries are fighting for the few remaining natural resources.
While the United States, which apparently in the future should sign the
Kyoto Protocol, have built a space station in order to use solar
energy, those nasty Russians seize it. Not only do they destroy San
Francisco, which does not fail to leave thousands of gamers perplexed
as to the location of next year’s E3, but they also threaten to destroy
New York for failure to surrender immediately and without compromise.
Sam, sorry, (not to be confused with Sam Fisher), will attempt, with
the rest of his team, to stop the machinations of the Kremlin cronies.
Level gameplay, Vanquish should appear as a 3D shoot which we are
promised a rare intensity. This is the concept of the game, intensity.
The promise also applies to Hollywood special effects.

Directed by Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil series,
VANQUISH is a sci-fi shooter that sees players take the role of Sam, a
government agent kitted out with a futuristic battlesuit. A versatile
fighter with a huge arsenal of weaponry at his disposal, Sam also has
an array of martial arts skills that he can use to take down his robot
enemies. Scheduled for this winter in Japan, Vanquish is currently at
80% of its development. And for those who fear that the PS3 version of
the track is sloppy in the image of Bayonetta, Shinji Mikami has
revealed that Sony’s console had been chosen as the lead platform after
having initiated the development PC.

Features:

• Fast, fluid and frenetic – this is gaming at its most explosive and exciting, as you storm into battle.

• Experience a game character like no other – Sam is the ultimate
weapon, donning a futuristic battle suit of destructive firepower and
superhuman speed and agility.

• Fight your way through the enormous, open environments of the space
station. The most advanced, futuristic city in the skies becomes home
to the action.
