Zevrix Updates LinkOptimizer for InDesign – Adds Snow Leopard Support

Zevrix Solutions has announced LinkOptimizer 4.1, an update to its
popular workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. LinkOptimizer
– recently dubbed "the greatest plug-in of all time" by Glen Drake of
the Pindar publishing group – eliminates the excess image data of
document links, performs essential image adjustments and converts
various image formats, thereby significantly reducing the size of
InDesign job and reducing output time and production costs.

In order to eliminate excess image data, LinkOptimizer automatically
scales and crops the images in Photoshop to match their dimensions in
InDesign, changes resolution according to the target resolution
specified, and reimports images to InDesign at 100%. As a result, the
size of InDesign job can be reduced dramatically – some jobs can shrink
by 80% and more.

LinkOptimizer 4 improves the workflow of service providers, printers,
ad agencies and publishing houses by automating complex tasks and
letting users achieve more with minimal resources:

* Save gigabytes of disk space.
* Accelerate document output to printer and PDF.
* Save endless hours – and even days – of manually optimizing image size, resolution and formats.
* Save valuable time transferring jobs to outside sources.
* Cut costs through faster processing.

The new version introduces compatibility with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow
Leopard, and addresses several performance and stability issues related
to InDesign clipping paths, link status and international system
support.

LinkOptimizer 4.1 can be purchased from the Zevrix Solutions web site,
www.zevrix.com, for $239.95 USD (upgrade – $95.98), as well as from
