PDS, a leading developer of human resource, benefits, recruiting and payroll systems, today announced Vista HRMS 4.1 at the 12th Annual HR Technology Conference & Exposition
being held September 30 through October 2, 2009 in Chicago. This new
version of the company’s flagship System offers significant
enhancements to its Performance and Compensation Management, Recruiting
and Position Control components, among other areas.
"We
believe that much of our success is a result of our dedication to our
customers," explained Patricia Palmer, senior vice president at PDS.
"Many of the enhancements have been requested specifically by our
customers at our Users Group Conference brainstorming sessions. We take
their wish lists, prioritize them and incorporate their requests into
the system. Vista HRMS 4.1 has more than a dozen new enhancements that
were requested by our customers."
Some of the new functionality in Vista HRMS, includes:
- Performance Administration
– This component now provides more flexibility in defining performance
review templates associated with specific roles, the ability to perform
weighted review appraisal and more reporting capabilities. - Compensation Management –
Managers now have a Salary Administration tool to use to model their
own department increases and also a Bonus Administration page that
provides them with a list of their direct reports and bonus data to
help them identify individual bonuses for each employee. HR can now
automate the generation of related pay increase and bonus payroll
transactions. - Position Control – Users now have the
ability to budget the number of positions (or jobs) within a control
group and issue the appropriate warning if the number of budgeted seats
or full-time equivalency is exceeded. - Recruiting – The
Vista HRMS Recruiting component has been enhanced to provide the
recruiter with more tools to screen and select appropriate applicants.
A variety of additional pages and reports have been provided to
simplify the recruiter’s communication process with both the hiring
manager and the applicant. - Position and Job-based Pay – This
new feature provides for the optional setup of position- (and job)
based pay rates and labor distribution information, versus
employee-based pay rates and labor distribution. - Security –
Vista HRMS security has been enhanced to include more configurable
control of individual product components and users level of access. In
addition to using Company and Organization information to identify data
access for employees, users now have the ability to define security by
location.
