The CTO Forum today announced that eBay Inc. Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Mark Carges has been appointed to the CTO Forum’s executive board. The CTO Forum brings together senior technology executives within the U.S. to discuss and collaborate on key technology issues facing the industry and to accelerate innovation across organizations.

In his role at eBay Inc., Carges oversees the global product and technology organization for the company. His background includes more than 25 years of experience in the software industry at companies such as BEA Systems, Bell Labs, Unix System Labs and Novell. Carges was also one of the original architects of Tuxedo, software for constructing highly scalable transaction processing applications.
