Dell pulled back the Design Studio curtain today on new collections providing even more artistic choices for people personalizing their laptops. Dell Design Studio, which launched about a year ago, is an immersive online shopping experience, similar to touring an art gallery. Customers can interactively view and select from hundreds of designs, artists, colors and patterns that can turn a Dell Inspiron or Studio laptop PC into a fashion accessory. Images are permanently “tattooed” into the laptop lid, making the design extremely durable.
Designs for Inspiron Mini’s are available later this month. This Design Studio refresh adds more than 80 new works of art to turn Inspiron and Studio laptops into statements of personal self expression. The new selections include 48 unique images from the exclusive Illuminations Collection and 41 bold design updates in the (PRODUCT) RED gallery, which contributes to the Global Fund to eliminate AIDS in Africa.
"For people who want their laptop to stand out in a crowd, the Dell Design Studio offers the ultimate piece of self-expression,” said Ed Boyd, Dell vice president of design for global consumer. “Design Studio blends today’s best technology with breakthrough artistic concepts to create an unmatched ‘built-for-me’ laptop only available from Dell.”
