Roxio, a division of Sonic Solutions, today unveiled plans to provide consumers convenient
access to their personal digital media on connected TVs, players and mobile
devices via the Roxio CinemaNow Digital Locker. Currently providing digital
movie delivery services for a range of leading device manufacturers, the Roxio
CinemaNow Locker will be enhanced to also deliver the personal slideshows and
video compilations consumers create via Roxio’s popular PhotoShow online
service.
"Consumers not only want to view the latest movies on their HD TVs, they also
want to see slideshows and videos of their vacations, family gatherings, and
other personal events," said Dave Habiger, president and CEO, Sonic Solutions.
"Integrating Roxio’s digital media services enables device manufacturers to
offer an enriched home and mobile entertainment experience that combines the
best of Hollywood with the best in personal memories."
The Roxio PhotoShow service enables families
to quickly and simply turn their personal photos and video clips into engaging
multimedia slideshows. Each PhotoShow is a unique story complete with rich
special effects and transitions, creative animations and captions, and multiple
music tracks. PhotoShows can be shared in email, linked to social networks and,
through integration into the Roxio CinemaNow Digital Locker, available for
instant viewing on Blu-ray Disc players, connected TVs, and mobile devices.
"People love how PhotoShow makes it easy to create and share stories using
home video and photos and the ability to publish shows to the CinemaNow Digital
Locker will only add to their excitement," said Matt DiMaria, general manager,
Roxio division of Sonic Solutions. "PhotoShow customers will be one click away
from being able to view shows on the TV in their living room or securely share
them so that loved ones can enjoy the show on their TV or mobile device."
Roxio CinemaNow offers a massive selection of premium video entertainment for
rental or purchase, including new releases often on the same day the DVD is

multiple manufacturers, forming a connected ecosystem that consumers can use to
seamlessly enjoy video entertainment anytime and anywhere. The CinemaNow
ecosystem currently includes PCs, connected TVs, set top DVRs, Blu-ray Disc and
mobile media players from leading manufacturers such as Archos, Dell, HP, LG,
Microsoft, Nintendo, Pioneer and TiVo and is powering internet movie delivery
