Centrify Delivers Robust Support for Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition to Enable Secure Cloud Computing

Centrify Corporation, the leading provider of Microsoft Active Directory-based,
identity and access management and auditing solutions for non-Microsoft
platforms, today announced that its Centrify Suite supports Ubuntu 9.10 Server
Edition, which includes an open source cloud computing environment that will be
easily integrated with Microsoft Active Directory through the Centrify Suite for
identity, access and privilege management.

"We’ve delivered a manageable, robust Linux environment for enabling cloud
computing," said Steve George, Director of Corporate Services, at Canonical.
"Centrify’s comprehensive support for our 9.10 release will allow customers to
centralize authentication and access controls for systems running on their
premises or ‘in the cloud’."

"Security becomes increasingly important as organizations entrust their
enterprise systems to cloud service providers," said David McNeely, Director of
Product Management, at Centrify Corporation. "Centrify helps organizations
deploying Ubuntu by enabling granular, role-based access controls and privilege
management that goes well beyond access controls to ensure that their
administrators have only the rights they need without giving them extended
privileges that, if misused, could compromise systems and by extension the
business."

Centrify has long supported Canonical and all versions of Ubuntu Desktop and
Server on x86 (Intel 32-bit) and x86_64 (64-bit) from version 6.06 LTS to 9.10
Server Edition.

The Centrify Suite is an integrated family of Active Directory-based
auditing, access control and identity management solutions that secures and
strengthens regulatory compliance initiatives for over 200 cross-platform
operating system environments. Centrify DirectControl addresses the need to
secure both physical and virtual environments by effectively turning a
non-Microsoft system or hypervisor into an Active Directory client, enabling
administrators to secure that system using the same authentication and Group
Policy services currently deployed for their Windows systems, as well as adding
granular access control through its patent-pending Zone technology. Centrify
DirectAuthorize centrally manages and enforces role-based entitlements for
fine-grained control of user access and privileges on UNIX and Linux systems as
well as a wide range of hypervisors. Centrify DirectAudit delivers auditing,
logging and real-time monitoring of user activity on non-Microsoft systems.
Built on a common architecture, the integrated Centrify Suite of solutions helps
to improve IT efficiency, strengthen regulatory compliance initiatives, and
centrally secure a heterogeneous computing environment.

Pricing and Availability

The Centrify Suite with support for Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition will be
generally available from Centrify and its worldwide partners in approximately 60
days. The Centrify Suite is licensed on a per guest OS server basis, starting at
$350 per server.
