SAP Customers and Partners Create New Business Solutions at SAP Co-Innovation Lab in Bangalore

In its first six months of operation, the SAP Co-Innovation Lab in Bangalore,
India, has opened its doors to SAP partners and customers for collaborative
development projects intended to address the most pressing business concerns in
their respective industries. Today, SAP AG announced groundbreaking new business solutions that have
been produced from the lab in Bangalore. Valued SAP India partners Arteria
Technologies Ltd. and MindTree Ltd. have worked jointly with developers at the
lab to create new workflow and mobility solutions that are being jointly
demonstrated and showcased to customers that may benefit from them. Arteria’s
new offer is already publically available via SAP
EcoHub, an online marketplace for certified solutions by SAP partners.
The announcement was made at SAP TechEd 2009, the company’s largest ecosystem
education event, being held November 18-20 in Bangalore, India.

Announced in April 2009, the SAP Co-Innovation Lab Bangalore is the latest addition to the co-innovation lab network,
which joins the existing labs in Palo Alto, California, and Tokyo, Japan.
Employees of SAP, its partners and customers work within the lab across
departments and knowledge levels to create ready-made solution accelerators that
complement the SAP portfolio to deliver cutting-edge business processes. The SAP
Co-Innovation Lab Bangalore is the SAP storefront in India for co-innovation. It
engages with frontrunner customers and partners as co-innovators with SAP, and
enables the joint collaboration on projects spanning relevant end-to-end
business scenarios and technology solutions.

"India’s strengths in technological innovation and development are greatly
valued by SAP," said S. Singh Mecker, senior vice president and head of the
Global Ecosystem and Partner Group for SAP AG. "The SAP Co-Innovation Lab
Bangalore harnesses a tremendous pool of talent and experience for our
customers’ success. The offerings that have been developed at the Bangalore site
demonstrate the strength of co-innovation in our product and ecosystem strategy,
and we are pleased to be able to make them available to customers through our
partners and SAP EcoHub."

Arteria Technologies Creates Multiple Packaged Workflow Solutions Using
SAP Interactive Forms Software by Adobe

Arteria Technologies provides high-value strategic IT management consulting
services to an array of businesses and has operations in Australia, India, South
Africa, South East Asia and the United States. Working in the hands-on
collaborative environment of the co-innovation lab, Arteria has developed an
"Interactive Advantage" solution that offers out-of-the-box packaged workflows
coupled with Adobe Forms for corporate service; sales and marketing; procurement
and materials management; and human capital management scenarios. Interactive
Advantage is already available to SAP customers via SAP EcoHub. The solution
provides partners and employees with personalized forms generated directly from
SAP applications, while capturing data that can flow directly back to the SAP
system, eliminating the need for error-prone, manual data input. Forms are
customizable to meet specific business needs, and include automatic workflow
trigger capability to maintain efficiency. Deployment time is reduced to only a
few weeks per scenario, allowing customers to accelerate the speed of their
corporate and human capital management operations. As these infrastructure needs
are met, companies can focus more closely on gaining momentum in sales and
outreach, while ensuring that their internal affairs are well managed.

"Our customers, who rely on us to continually deliver solutions with proven
business value, have quickly recognized the benefits of the lab in Bangalore, as
evidenced by the popularity of the Interactive Advantage solution," said Parag
Jain, chief technology officer, Arteria Technologies. "Our rate of development
is considerably faster when we work in the SAP Co-Innovation Lab, making it a
perfect example of a win-win situation that benefits customers, partners and
SAP."

MindTree’s Mobile Real Estate Solution Enables Deal-Making On the
Go

MindTree is a global IT solutions company that specializes in IT services,
product engineering services, independent testing, infrastructure management and
knowledge services. As one of the most active participants at the SAP
Co-Innovation Lab Bangalore, MindTree has leveraged the SAP NetWeaver® Mobile
component to develop a mobile solution for the SAP Real Estate Management
application based on enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer
relationship management (CRM) solutions from SAP. MindTree’s solution provides
real-time visibility for sales personnel into geographic information of the
property, details on inquiries, creation of prospects and customers, and
generation of the sales orders on a mobile device. Additionally, agents can
check the availability of the units on a real-time basis and get details such as
selling prices, utility costs and more. The application is built on Java and can
be deployed on any GPRS-enabled hand-held device. The MindTree team worked very
closely with SAP Labs technology experts to align the solution architecture with
SAP’s mobile technology strategy. MindTree is in the final stages of packaging
the solution to be made available to customers by this year end.

"With the turnaround of the real estate markets in the coming years, the high
demand will put pressure on the quick closure of sales with online value-added
services to be provided to the customers," said Anjan Lahiri, president and CEO
for IT Services, MindTree. "MindTree, having provided SAP implementations to
many real estate companies, recognized the potential of having a mobile solution
as an add-on to the SAP Real Estate Management application, The SAP
Co-Innovation Lab Bangalore provided an excellent setting for our team to
brainstorm on the mobile applications, and then work with SAP mobile development
experts to build an effective solution. Our development team used SAP-provided
state-of-the-art technology infrastructure with ready access to the latest
technology and expertise."

"The hallmark of this lab is to foster innovation with our talented ecosystem
partners and bring to life solutions from ideas to our customers," said Axel
Henning Saleck, head of the Global SAP Co-Innovation Lab Network within the
Global Ecosystem and Partner Group, SAP AG. "The collaborative innovations
announced by Arteria and MindTree complement SAP solution offerings and address
unfulfilled needs of our customers. The innovations are not just prototypes, but
packaged solutions that customers can readily implement. These strong innovation
examples were brought to market in short cycle times."
