A computer crash following a software upgrade was responsible for the cancellation of 60 of Lufthansa’s German and European flights, yesterday.Although it is not clear what the airline was trying to upgrade, sources confirm the error was in the booking and check-in services.
The flag carrier’s groundstaff to check-in passengers manually and the error was fixed after six hours.More than 6000 passengers were hit, along with Lufthansa’s Cargo unit.
