Economiesuisse Implements KWizCom’s Picture Library Plus

Founded September 15, 2000, Economiesuisse is the largest umbrella organization representing the Swiss economy. Economiesuisse has the support of more than 30,000 businesses of all sizes, employing a total of 1.5 million people in Switzerland. The organization is the result of a merger between the Swiss Federation of Commerce and Industry (Vorort) and the Society for the Promotion of the Swiss economy (wf). Economiesuisse’s direct membership includes 100 trade and industry associations, 20 cantonal chambers of commerce and several individual companies. Economiesuisse represents many sectors and industries including: advertising, advisory services, banking, cement, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, communication and media, construction, energy and many more. Economiesuisse works conjointly with the Swiss Employers Association and maintains close contact with the Swiss Association of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Economiesuisse’s mission is to create an optimal economic environment for Swiss business. In order to achieve this, it aims to preserve entrepreneurial freedom for all businesses, to continuously improve Switzerland’s global competitiveness in manufacturing, services, and research, and to promote sustained growth as a prerequisite for a high level of employment in Switzerland.

The Challenge:
The Economiesuisse website runs on a MOSS 2007 Server. The out-of-the-box possibilities for image libraries are ineffective and inappropriate for a client facing website. Knowing that a picture is worth a thousand words, Economiesuisse began searching for a method to smoothly portray their images and convey the desired messaging to their audience.

Solution:
After investigating the different possibilities Economiesuisse decided to implement KWizCom’s Picture Library Plus for all image libraries on the website. Jonathan Seinoha, Webmaster for Economiesuisse explains: “KWizCom’s Picture Library Plus enables us to effectively portray our images and convey the messaging we desire.”
