Software solutions provider 1E today announced the release of version 3.1 of its web-based application provisioning tool, Shopping, which is designed to automate the request, approval, license management and delivery cycle of software distribution in an organisation.
The company said that the tool allows an organisation to delegate aspects of IT decision making, such as which applications to deploy and who can approve them, to branch offices or regional business units. A regional or branch office administrator can now choose which applications to deploy in that office, add approvers to their branch, configure approval for the published applications and view management reports.
Shopping 3.1 is fully-integrated with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and Active Directory and offers increased platform support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 and enhanced scalability and performance.
Application price details were not disclosed. Shopping version 3.1 is available immediately.
