Bharti Airtel, Asia’s leading integrated telecom service provider, has
been rated as India’s Best Enterprise Connectivity Provider for 2009 at
the annual Users’ Choice Awards. Instituted by PC Quest, the awards are
based on an IDC survey among 243 large enterprises spanning all sectors
and spread over top eight Indian cities across four zones. The survey
included face-to-face interactions with chief information officers
(CIOs) and IT decision makers of enterprises. The recognition comes on
the back of Bharti Airtel being adjudged as the ‘Most Future Ready
Enterprise Connectivity Provider Brand’ at the 2008 edition of the
Users’ Choice Awards.
On receiving the award, Mr. Chris Tobit, Director Sales & Operations, Enterprise Services, Bharti Airtel, said,
“It is a huge honour for Airtel to be recognized as the topmost player
in the enterprise connectivity segment. Our extensive services
portfolio enables us to offer innovative, flexible propositions for our
enterprise customers. The recognition is reiteration of our commitment
to creating compelling differentiators for our customers, through
high-value products, superior customer service and leading edge
enterprise solutions.”
These awards indicate the strength of
each brand in their respective industry. Brands were rated based on a
User Perception Index. In order for a brand to qualify for the Users’
Choice club, at least 5% of the total respondents had to currently own
it. The survey sought information on 5 basic aspects including Top of Mind recall,
Primary brand owned, Brand preference for future purchase, Reasons for
using current brand, Reasons for preference of future brand.
The
Users’ Choice Awards conducted annually by PC Quest and IDC is one of
the most credible surveys that maps the mind share (for brand
perception) of Indian IT enterprise buyers for different brands of IT
products and solutions.
