Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer
of secure content management solutions and the VimpelCom Group, a
leading Russian telecommunications operator providing voice
communication, data transmission and broadband Internet access
services, announce the launch of an online subscription service
available to new subscribers of Beeline’s Home Internet service. By
using the service, new subscribers will be able to download and
activate the latest versions of Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010.
As of 1 December 2009, every new subscriber to Beeline’s Home
Internet service will be able to take advantage of the latest Kaspersky
Lab security products for PCs and laptops. Subscribers will have the
opportunity to download, activate and customize either Kaspersky
Internet Security 2010 or Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010, on a 30-day
"try-before-you-buy" basis, via their personal account at
provod.beeline.ru.
"A high level of online security is one of the key factors when
choosing an ISP. Therefore we need to offer any new subscriber to
Beeline’s Home Internet service the most modern and reliable protection
available against viruses, hacker attacks and other types of threats,"
said Diana Samoshkina, VimpelCom’s Director for Marketing of Mass
Market Internet Access Products and Fixed Communication Services.
The new online subscription service is based on Kaspersky
Subscription Services (KSS), a Kaspersky Lab solution especially
designed to make the subscription process quick and convenient for both
the subscriber and the ISP.
"VimpleCom is one of the leading Russian telecommunications
operators, both in terms of the scope of its main services and the
quality of its additional services," said Stephane Le Hir,
Vice-President of Consumer Business for Kaspersky Lab. "The
introduction of a subscription service for antivirus products using
Kaspersky Subscription Services confirms once again that Kaspersky Lab
is an innovative company. One of the advantages of the offer is the
flexibility of the subscription mechanism. Not only can the user
subscribe to the service but they can also suspend it when the product
is not in use."
Severen-City acted as Kaspersky Lab’s technology partner for the
integration of Kaspersky Subscription Services and VimpelCom’s IT
system.
