NETGEAR Cable Gateway Earns DOCSIS 3.0 Certification from CableLabs

Gigabit Ports Joins Growing Family of NETGEAR Products for Cable Operators

NETGEAR, Inc. a worldwide provider of technologically innovative,
branded networking solutions, today announced that its newest Cable Gateway, the
CG3200D Wireless-N Voice/Data Cable Gateway, achieved DOCSIS 3.0
certification in CableLabs Certification Wave 71. The CG3200D delivers
DOCSIS 3.0 service via four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and 802.11n wireless. The
resulting data rates of up to 160 Mbps downstream and 120 Mbps upstream enable
cable operators to deliver advanced service offerings to residential and Small-
to Medium-sized Business (SMB) customers.

NETGEAR’s certified CG3200D is future-proof with Internet Protocol version 6
(IPv6)and is also fully backwards-compatible with IPv4 and DOCSIS 2.0 and 1.1.
It supports remote management and provisioning, simple plug-in installation, and
post-installation manageability with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
In addition, it offers four Gigabit Ethernet ports and 802.11n wireless so users
can take full advantage of their high-speed WAN connections for enjoying the
broadest spectrum of multimedia, file sharing, multimedia conferencing, video
