VLC Player 2.0 Update with multiple features and fixes

Version 2.0 of the free media player VLC media player has an updated maintenance. Two security fixes, and more than 120 bugs. Last month, the VideoLAN project has delivered an anticipated 2.0 version of VLC media player. If Mac users were treated to a new interface, this has not been the case for users in other environments as OS X. Code-named Twoflower, the new major version, however, brought a faster decoding with multicore processors, while the GPU hardware acceleration has been improved. Support for new video formats was added. A new rendering engine for increased video quality for the subtitles, while filters can improve the videos like an anti-flickering filter. As an experiment, the Blu-ray playback is proposed.

VLC media player 2.0 has already been downloaded over 15 million times. A maintenance release 2.0.1 corrects some bugs and regressions 120, including MKV, HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), Ogg or menus with Blu-ray. Two security vulnerabilities are corrected at the support of streaming protocol MMS and Real RTSP. In addition, VLC media player 2.0.1 adds support for file stream and MxPEG improvements for decoding and more customization for the user interface in OS X.
