New stable version 28 for the Chrome browser for Android is released with automatic translation and full screen on tablet.
After the pc version, it is the turn for the Android version to be updated. Google offers a new stable version of its Chrome browser for android system. Stamped as version 28, it is being deployed and brings traditional bug fixes in addition to some new features.
The main novelty is the integration of the Google Translate service. As with Chrome on a computer, a translation bar appears to offer an automatic translation of a page when it is displayed in a language other than the default.
Another new shelves with full-screen display that was already available for smartphones is also incorporated. With a scrolling screen, the toolbar is hidden to allow the headspace content to be accessed.
Still experimental, a feature that reduces data consumption is also present. It is accessible via the settings management bandwidth. A graph shows the saving with data compression.
CNET explains that the optimization is done on the server side of Google and through SPDY technology.
