Oppo has opened pre-orders for its latest Android smartphone, the R819, a device with a 4.7-inch screen and proposed at an aggressive price of 269 euros. The manufacturer also offers a choice between its own version of the Google system, Android 4.2.1 or stock.
The Chinese manufacturer Oppo completes its range with the launch of the R819, the latest Android smartphone for which pre-orders are now open. The R819 capitalizes on the strengths of its predecessor: neat design, thickness and weight content, but provides a lower level of equipment and a slightly smaller screen, which allows Oppo to attack with aggressive entry price, set at 269 euros for European consumers.
For this price, the R819 features a touch focused on an IPS 4.7-inch (11.94 cm) screen with 1280 x 720 pixels (720p) display. The whole part of a white body is encircled by a metal strip that is supported by a Mediatek processor (MT6589) 1.2 GHz quad-core, with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of dedicated flash memory storage. The back of the R819 offers a 8 megapixel camera sensor provided by Sony (Exymor) opening to f/2.0, while a front camera that adopts a 2-megapixel sensor. With a 2000 mAh battery, the device acknowledges 110 grams on the scale, and shows a thickness of 7.3 mm. WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, FM tuner and full-chip GPS equipment is also present. With two micro-SIM slots, the R819 is finally compatible with quad-band GSM and 3G networks (+) of the 850 bands.
Oppo offers the phone as a last refinement to choose between its own version of Android, called Color ROM and enriched home overlay software or an Android 4.2.1 “stock”, installed as delivered by Google. The first deliveries are expected to intervene in the month of September.
