
The full version of Quickoffice suite is now available for free. It even gives the right to the opportunity for an extra 10 GB storage on Google Drive.
While Microsoft was pleased to have reached two million subscribers to Office 365 Home Premium, at an event for financial analysts, Google announced yesterday that it has made Quickoffice for free download.
Quickoffice is a popular mobile office suite for mobile phones, Google has bought it a little over a year from now. Direct competitor of Office Mobile, it also allows you to edit Microsoft Office documents on Android and iOS, and store them online, Google Drive in this case.
Until now the full version of Quickoffice was included with Google Apps for Business offers, just like Office Mobile is integrated with Office 365 offers. But it was also available for purchase for 15 to 20 euros. A version for only displaying the documents were offered for free.
The full version of Quickoffice has become completely free last night. It works without a subscription, and even without an account, but the connection to a Google Account is encouraged. For a week, it provides an additional 10 GB storage on Google Drive for two years.
