
Kingston introduces its first 2.5-inch SSD using the new SF-3700 controller.
As part of the CES event held last week in Las Vegas, the Kingston brand has unveiled several products, including a gaming headset termed HyperX Cloud, the HyperX Fury DDR3 RAM and a storage device of SSD (Solid State Drive) which is soon joining the SSDNow family.
This is the first 2.5-inch model compatible with the SATA 3 interface standard to use the new memory controller SF-3700-LSI SandForce product. Nothing filtered yet on rates, but it should be among the best on the market, knowing that the same platform of PCI-Express allows peaks to 1,800 MB/s sequential read.
