Sony announces Xperia E1 smartphone with 4-inch display and dual core CPU

Sony launches new Xperia E1 smartphone with dedicated Walkman key and integrated speaker model positioned at mid-range.

Sony Mobile Communications puts forward Walkman audio functions in its new Xperia E1 smartphone which is positioned in the middle range. Legacy of the Walkman line of Sony Ericsson era, it offers a dedicated Walkman button and Shake Control for music but also a speaker of "100 dB" on the back of the unit and Clearaudio+ modes and xLOUD for optimizing sound.

Sony adds a further 30 days access offered on its Sony Entertainment Network and its millions of songs service. Xperia E1 model offers a 4" display resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and Qualcomm MSM8210 (Snapdragon 200) dual core 1.2 GHz processor, combined with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage space.

Being an Android Smartphone, 4G is not compatible but it supports HSPA+ in 21 Mbps (theoretical maximum) and wants to offer a versatile multimedia experience, powered by its 1700 mAh battery. It will be available from April 2014 for a price that is not yet been notified.
