As expected, Huawei Unveils watches connected to the MWC 2014 in Barcelona. Huawei Talkband B1 reaches a coveted segment and focuses on the autonomy which works upto 6 days.
Chinese giant Huawei, world number three for smartphones in 2013, promised to engage in the young field of wearable computing gadgets and more precisely watches connected. This is done with the announcement of the Huawei Talkband B1 unveiled at MWC 2014 in Barcelona, both watch and strap connected.
Provided with many functions, the watch looks like a bracelet that keeps a close tracking activity, another trending product of the moment. The manufacturer also presented the first hybrid product between these two categories, as a bracelet deporting telephony functions of a smartphone when coupled with a Bluetooth 4.1 headset (with dual microphone, reduced background noise and improved voice quality) with integrated design of Talkband B1.
It offers an OLED display of 1.4" which is flexible and weighs only 26g. Watch/bracelet can connect to a smartphone running Android 2.3 or higher and iOS 5.0 or higher with a simplified NFC pairing. Manufacturer highlights 6 days of autonomy of its product with a 90 mAh battery (7 hours talktime to the headset).
Since this is a hybrid product which also can be used as bracelets activity monitoring, Huawei shows Talkband B1 can be used in tracking activity, counting the number of steps taken and distance traveled and the number of calories burned.
There is also a tool for monitoring the quality of sleep and smart alarm clock that cycles following the rest. Huawei TalkBand B1 will be launched in March 2014 by China but will be available in the second quarter in Europe at a price of 99 €.
