The manufacturer Spice Mobiles unveils a new smartphone called Smart Flo Poise Mi-451 at Rs. 5499. A cheap rate, implying some concessions, including 3G.
Everyone does not need the very latest smartphone. That is why many manufacturers have now positioned their mobile phones below Rs. 10000 and even well under Rs. 6000.
With its Smart Flo Poise model, also known through its reference Mi-451, the Indian manufacturer Spice Mobiles is one of those who goes very far in the price squeeze. It comes at the equivalent of Rs. 5499. Keeping however in mind that we are talking about a smartphone for emerging markets and therefore with a tariff adopted for them. Not sure when the Europeans will be able to get it at this price there.
At the side of characteristics, Smart Flo Poise obviously comes at some concessions, starting with 3G as limited to 2G. It also embeds minimum RAM, with only 512 MB to support and its dual-core 1.3 GHz processor is supplied by MediaTek. Storage side, we must be content with 4GB fortunately and a possibility of extension for MicroSD (up to 32GB). The battery has nothing special either with only 1450 mAh support.
Fortunately, it's not going too far in concessions but it still enjoys a dual-SIM operation for the management of two numbers and connectivity of Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and photo sensors of 3.2 and 1.3 megapixels, a 4.5 inch display screen with 854 x 480 pixels resolution on an IPS panel and the environment in it is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with WhatsApp/WeChat Messenger preinstalled applications.
