SSD manufacturer OCZ branch, which now belongs to the Toshiba Group, unveils a new SSD model offering high performance, a layer of security and good endurance.
Proposed with PCI-Express 8x and equipped with NAND flash memory MLC (Multi-Level Cell) type, this new Z-Drive 4500 SSD is aimed at the professional market. It comes in three capacities of 800 GB, 1600 GB and 3200 GB.
As for performance, it evokes 2,200 MB/s sequential write, 2,900 MB/s sequential read, 76,000 IOPS 4K random write and 252,000 IOPS 4k random read. They obviously relate to the capacity of 3200 GB. One speaks also about encryption of AES 128-bit to protect the most sensitive data.
In terms of endurance, it reaches at least 0.68 Po with the 800 GB version, 1.3 Po with 1600 GB version and 2.5 Po with 3200 GB version. In terms of consumption energy finally datasheet gets around 20 watts in operation.
