The Chinese brand Xiaomi is going to tease the announcement of its next smartphone on 22 July which should correspond to Xiaomi Mi-4, previously known as the unofficial name of Mi-3S.
The Chinese manufacturer is going to launch its next smartphone reference and there is a direct reference in this time with an invitation to a press conference on 22 July. The presence of a large "4" number leaves little doubt about what will be announced: The Xiaomi Mi-4, which will follow the successful model Xiaomi Mi-3.
This Xiaomi Mi-4 has already made some rumors informally under the name Mi-3S. Its supposed characteristics show a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and a Snapdragon 801 processor associated with 2GB of RAM.
The smartphone should come with a 13 megapixel camera sensor on the back and a secondary APN 8 megapixels on the front. The Mi-4 will ship with the Android 4.4 KitKat wrapper MIUI manufacturer specific. The teaser seems to have a tag affixed to it that suggests the Xiaomi Mi-4 should enjoy a metal body or at least metal finishes.
Xiaomi is on track to achieve its target of 40 million smartphones passed this year, against 20 million last year, and could even afford to 60 million units sold.
The success of the Mi-4 will be important for the success of the strategy of the manufacturer who wants to be among the biggest players in the world of smartphones in the short term and conquer Western markets after strong presence in the local market.
