
The smartphone manufacturer Micromax unveils Canvas XL2, a phablet with Android KitKat entry level.
The Micromax Canvas XL2 phablet (also known through its reference A109) indeed offers the Android 4.4.2 KitKat on a diagonal of 5.5 inches and should be sold around 8000 rupees, equivalent to 100 euros.
The data sheet indicates that it comes with MediaTek MT6589M quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a Mali-400 graphics solution to power the IPS panel in a qHD resolution (540 x 960 pixels), a flash memory of 4GB expandable MicroSD (32GB), dual SIM-slots with a compatible 3G, connections of Wi-Fi 802.11n/GPS/Bluetooth 4.0, a 5 megapixel digital camera with flash and a 0.3 Megapixel webcam at front.
Aboard finally, a battery capacity of 2500 mAh allows up to 8.5 hours of talk time or up to 255 hours of standby. It's pretty decent.
Those looking for an Android KitKat smartphone at competitive price, remember that the Wiko brand has announced a model called Goa to 49.99 euros, whose technical staffing remains acceptable despite the pricing pressures.
