Microsoft hopes to get its smartphone Lumia 730 in the Guinness Book of Records with the biggest Selfie. Over 1000 people appear in the photo.
In presenting its Lumia 730/Lumia 735 smartphones last September at the IFA in Berlin, Microsoft highlighted their capabilities in selfies. Indeed these models feature a 5 megapixel camera sensor wide angle front to meet the Selfie fashion which even politicians have succumbed.
The Redmond giant has decided to go further in the process. Through a Selfie realized in Bangladesh involving 1,151 people, it hopes to indeed appear in the Guinness Book of Records.
Microsoft is also not the only manufacturer of smartphones to attempt the thing. Lava, an Indian manufacturer has indeed achieved a Selfie with nearly 1000 extras through its Iris X5 smartphone. The thing, however, has not been validated by the Guinness Book of Records.
At present, it is the comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres who holds the record with nearly 279 people.
