The Chinese manufacturer Huawei gives information on its new smartphone model called Kirin 620 with a 64-bit SoC octa-core designed for mid-range.
Huawei complete its range of SoC Kirin developed in-house, with a Kirin 620 smartphone model that will be positoned at midrange.
Engraved in 28 nanometers, it offers an ARM Cortex-A53 with eight cores processor that can operate at 1.2 GHz, RAM of LPDDR3, a Mali-450MP4 GPU and a modem of 4G/LTE offering Class 4 speeds (up to 50 Mbit/s transmission and up to 150 Mbit/s in reception).
The platform is also able to handle the 13-megapixel camera sensor and capture of Full HD video at 30 frames per second.
Now we will have to wait to discover the Huawei smartphones that will benefit from this new SoC. We should see them at the upcoming MWC in Barcelona. One thing is certain: it will not act to Windows Phone models.
