Victim of several problems, the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 may cause the delay of several high-end smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG G4.
SoC Snapdragon 810, to be launched soon by Qualcomm, has problems. According to information that filtered it, there would be some overheating pressures issue affecting the performance. It also addresses bugs in the management of RAM and at the Adreno graphics solution. If these problems will be corrected, surely they could have consequences on the side of smartphone manufacturers.
Many manufacturers rely in effect on the SoC Snapdragon 810 to host their next top models in LG's image with its G4 and Samsung with its Galaxy S6. In case the correction of problems lead to delays in delivery, they could therefore consider turning to alternatives such as Samsung, MediaTek or Nvidia to maintain the original schedule, as they could decide to delay deliveries.
If the question is less for Samsung which has the habit of using SoC Qualcomm as its own Exynos SoC of the family , and could well fall back on a homemade solution, it naturally comes to mind for smartphone manufacturers which do not develop SoC internally. Lets wait & see.
