Acer prepares its return to the Windows Phone universe. We talk indeed of a model of entry or midrange that could be presented in the coming months.
If Huawei keeps particularly bitter memories of its experience of Windows Phone as to not mince words when asked the question of a possible return to the Microsoft ecosystem, this is apparently not the case for Acer.
Now that the license is free, the Taiwanese manufacturer Acer was indeed preparing a model of entry or midrange that could be discovered in early March at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, for a launch in stride. We talk about a phone which can make an introduction in the first half. This would mean passing a delivery with Windows Phone 8.1, knowing that Windows Phone 10 does not land before the summer.
No technical feature has filtered for now. But looking at what is being done elsewhere (in brands Nokia and Lava, for example), you can expect an entry with a SoC Snapdragon 200 that provides a WVGA 4 inches or 5 inches qHD display, 3G+ network support, camera captures of 5 megapixel at rear and a storage of 4GB or 8GB. All for less than 100 euros. We will have to wait & see.
