Next week, Archos is going to present its latest products in Mobile World Congress 2015. Among them, there will be four Android smartphones with a diagonal of 5 to 6.25 inches. All will be sold at less than 200 euros.
There will be a first smartphone of 50 Oxygen Plus that will be the flagship figure of the French brand. Accusing 125 grams on the scale and 7.2 millimeters thick, it will use the MediaTek MT6592 platform with its octa-core 1.4 GHz processor (ARM Cortex A7) coupled to a 1GB of RAM and Mali-450MP4 graphics solution.
With Android KitKat and powered by a battery of 2000 mAh, it will offer an IPS screen of 5-inch in 1280 x 720 pixels, support of Wi-Fi N/3G+ to 21 Mbit/s, camera sensors of 5/8 Megapixels and a memory of 16GB expandable to a MicroSD (dual-SIM option, if no MicroSD card selected).
Then comes the models 52 Platinium, 59 Xenon and 62 Xenon that will offer large diagonals at attractive price. The first has a 5.25-inch screen with 720p display, camera sensor of 2/8 Megapixels and a battery of 1750 mAh. The second features a screen of 5.9 inches with 720p display, camera sensors of 2/8 Megapixels and a battery of 2500 mAh. The third gives the possibility to upgrade to a 6.25-inch screen with 720p display, camera sensor of 5/8 Megapixels and a battery of 2300 mAh. All these smartphones share SoC MediaTek MT6582 chips with 1.3 GHz quadcore processor + 1GB of RAM, 8GB of flash memory expandable with MicroSD. With 3G+ compatible, they will be accompanied with Android KitKat system.
It will take 169 euros for the Archos 50 Oxygen Plus, the availability of which is planned for March. Note also that a smartphone version with 4G and Android Lollipop is going to launch in June and will be charged at 199 euros. Finally, we must spend less than 150 euros for the Archos 52 Platinum, Archos Xenon 59 and Archos 62 Xenon. They were announced at 129, 149 and 149 euros respectively.
