HTC is developing its smartphone of HTC One M8 2014 with a new model of HTC One M8s without the Ultrapixel camera module at the back and with Snapdragon 615 processor 64-bit onboard.
The smartphone HTC One M9 was unveiled at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona at early March and began its marketing phase, but this does not prevent the manufacturer to give its HTC One M8 2014 model a new version of HTC One M8s.
Substantially similar to the original model with its metal shell and its 5-inch Full HD display, the HTC One M8s abandons Ultrapixel camera sensor on the back for a module of 13 megapixels, always accompanied by a second camera sensor for telemetry, while APN 5 megapixels is present on the front.
The other big change is the move to a 64-bit processor. Instead of the Snapdragon 801 32-bit, it comes with a SoC Snapdragon 615 octacore (4 core ARM Cortex-A53 and 4 cores ARM Cortex-A57) 64-bit which is available with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage space, expandable by microSD port.
The HTC One M8s also embeds a 2840 mAh battery while it was 2600 mAh battery for HTC One M8 2014 that takes advantage of the Android 5.0 Lollipop platform with HTC Sense overlay. HTC One M8s will be launched next week for a price of €429.
