The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data
Processing, Inc. today announced the release of four
solutions that will enable automotive dealerships to take
advantage of mobile technologies. With ADP’s suite of Mobile
Applications, dealers can run their businesses and communicate to
their customers from any location. Over 85% of Americans currently
have a mobile phone – and they’re continually doing more on them,
especially as more consumers embrace Internet-enabled “smart
phones”. ADP’s Mobile Application suite enables dealerships to take
advantage of this trend, not only for providing consumers with
information, but for the dealerships’ own business needs as well.
These key applications cover
every facet of dealership communications including the “business
to employee” area with the Drive DMS and IP Telephony
applications, to the “consumer-facing” area of mobile websites and
customer text notifications.
“As more consumers and businesses rely on mobile
devices for their content, dealerships need to have a technology
provider who can enable them to maximize on this opportunity. Just
as we have in many other dealership technologies, ADP is staking
out a leadership position in Mobile Applications. These four new
offerings clearly place ADP in the forefront of providing dealers
all of the options they need to attract more consumers, easily
convert prospects, retain customers, and better run their
businesses,” states Kevin Henahan, Sr. Vice President of Marketing
for ADP Dealer Services.
Drive DMS for Mobile
With Drive DMS
for Mobile, ADP has taken the key metrics from the Drive DMS and
made them securely available on a smart phone. Some of the
information available with Drive DMS for Mobile includes:
- Checking current cash balances
- Approving PO’s
- Tracking of deals
- Monitoring dealership gross profit
Mobile Desk Phone Integration
Now
dealerships can extend the functionality of the desktop ADP Network
Phone to their mobile phones. From the mobile device, dealership users
can access the same features they use on their desk phone
including 4-digit dialing, hold, transfer, and conferencing. In
addition, with CRM integration, users can log leads, look up
customers and vehicles, and see the “desktop” phone log of missed
calls.
Mobile Websites
With over 80%
of consumers beginning their car research online, it is crucial
that dealerships be able to exhibit their inventory not just
online, but on a mobile device as well. Our Inventory Mobile website
lets consumers take it a step farther – by being able to view
inventory from a mobile device. Consumers can search dealership
listings of new and pre-owned cars, view images, see detailed
listings for each car, and get vehicle history reports – all on
their time, on their mobile phone. Additionally, consumers can
also enter their contact information or contact the dealership
directly from the vehicle listings with “click to call”,
generating a solid lead on which dealerships can follow up.
