Google and Dell now offers products and services in India

Google, the worlds leading search engine and Technology leader Dell
India, have separately carved out moves to target Indian small and
medium enterprises (SME) for their growth. While Google is extending
free advertising coupons for free SMBs, Dell has launched its own
tailor-made products.

Google has started “Jump start” initiative through which it will
provide expert support to help SMEs build an online advertising
campaign. The pilot phase of this program was implemented in Chandigarh
earlier where it received an overwhelming response.

Through this program Google would assist SMEs in setting up their Ad
words account and provide customized campaign according to the
company’s requirements and budgetary constraints.

SMEs with an online presence can utilize this opportunity to avail

statement Google India online sales head Sridhar Seshadri said "The Ad
Words programme provides marketers a cost-effective platform where-in
they can measure RoI (return on investment), monitor and optimize their
campaign’’.

With this move Google has tapped the huge growth potential that the SMB
enterprises of the industrial sector have to offer in terms of their
advertising requirements. At present, the SMBs constitute 80% of the
industrial sector. Not only online but offline initiatives in the form
of Seminars and workshops would also be taken up by Google to create
awareness amongst the SMBs regarding the power of advertising through
the internet.

Dell on the other hand has unveiled its Vostro range of laptops and
desktops which have been designed keeping the SMEs in mind. Not only
has this Dell also come up with IP SAN storage technology. The company
has taken steps to penetrate deeper into the Indian cities through its
Partner Direct commercial channel program.

As a part of this program, enterprises have two levels of participation
to choose from namely registered and certified. This would empower them
to avail a wide range of marketing, support and business-development
benefits from Dell.

Overall these initiatives by Dell and Google spell good news for the large SME space in India.
