The Cleveland International Film Festival today announced the
release of its free 34th Cleveland International Film Festival app for
the iPhone and iPod touch. The free app allows film fans across the
country to browse all of the festival’s films by title, category,
program, or day. Users can view film details, multiple images, and
real-time, up-to-the-minute screening information as we as the trailer
for this year’s festival. It also features contact information and maps
for all four theaters in this year’s event.
"The app gives our festival goers a whole new way to interact with
us.", said Marcie Goodman, Executive Director of the festival. "With
our record attendance last year, it’s clear we’re appealing to a
larger, more diverse audience than ever. We wanted to create a simple,
easy-to-use tool that would allow both first-time fans and our die-hard
supporters to check-out this year’s films – anytime and anywhere. A
group of friends might decide in the spur of the moment to catch a
screening over their lunch break. Or someone might come out of a
theater and immediately want to see what’s playing later that
afternoon. This app makes that experience easier than ever."
Design and development of the app was provided by The FORM Group, a
creative services boutique in Cleveland, OH specializing in convergent
media.
