App City today is pleased to announce the release of Pocket Whip Unleashed 1.1 for iPhone and iPod touch. Pocket Whip Unleashed allows the user to record his or her own voice to interact with the whip. The user taps the record button and is prompted by a 3,2,1 ‘beep’ countdown leader. After the final beep, the user records a phrase and taps the button again to finish recording. Once the phrase is recorded, the user can crack the whip and hear their own voice reacting to it.
This third version of Pocket Whip records and then automatically sequences the user’s voice alongside the built-in whipping sound effects. Users can move their iPhone or iPod touch from side-to- side, up or down or in a circular motion above their head to create realistic ‘wooshing’ sound effects and flick their wrist to ‘crack’ the whip. The sound effects were recorded live in Canterbury, New Zealand, with a high-end digital recorder and an actual stock whip. With Pocket Whip Unleashed, the crack is immediately followed by any phrase that the user wishes to record.
App City director, Ellory Elkayem says he wanted to expand the Pocket Whip brand by providing the user with a more fun and interactive experience. Says Elkayem, "Pocket Whip Unleashed gives people the freedom to express themselves however they like. People always laugh when they hear themselves reacting to the whip."
The user driven recording feature for Pocket Whip Unleashed, makes it the best version of Pocket Whip yet.
