St. Clair Software is happy to announce the release of Default
Folder X 4.3.6. This release addresses compatibility issues and
fine-tunes a number of the features in our award-winning utility for
enhancing Open and Save dialogs. Honored with Macworld Magazine’s
Editors’ Choice Award for Best System Enhancement Utility, Default
Folder X makes Open and Save dialogs "work the way they should."
Default Folder X’s custom keyboard shortcuts put your favorite and
recent folders at your fingertips. Pop-up menus let you navigate your
folders and open Finder windows. Previews, Spotlight comments and tags
are there when you need them. Open, save, and get back to work: Default
Folder X is workflow for the rest of us.
Default Folder X 4.3.6 is a free update that incorporates a revised
method of tracking your recently used folders, making it work better in
Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard. It also enables its file dialog enhancements
in Google Chrome and PhotoMechanic, provides sorting of folders in its
settings, improves the performance of its "Get Info" feature, and
offers numerous bug fixes. The new version of Default Folder X also
incorporates the Sparkle update framework to automatically download and
install subsequent updates.
