Nuance PDF Reader 6 is now available

Known for its conversion solutions and PDF document editing, has recently launched Nuance Nuance PDF Reader, a free PDF viewer, based on its software PDF Converter 6. Already competing with Adobe PDF Converter Professional 6, walking on the flat strips of Acrobat, Nuance So here directly addresses the "essential" Adobe Reader. Face the reader from Adobe PDF Reader promises greater lightness. This is actually where the disk space occupied by the software: just under 50 MB to 200 MB cons Adobe Reader. The CPU consumption has also appeared significantly lower when using large PDF documents. However, it should … qualify that! Adobe Reader 9.0 employs about 9 MB on startup, against 18 MB for PDF Reader.

Other innovations highlighted by Nuance include the ability to convert PDF files to Office documents via NuancePDF.com, a new online editor. In practice, the reader sends the file to Nuance’s servers, making the conversion line and returns the converted file by mail. Incidentally, it will go through 4 commercials for PDF Converter Professional 6, a way can be somewhat aggressive to sell the business solution of the publisher.

The free viewer allows Nuance also complete the forms and annotate documents and offers integration with Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. Regarding security, we note the possibility to disable support JavaScript, which prevents execution of code contained in some malicious files using the PDF format.
