ATI Technologies the design and manufacturer of visual processor solutions for PCs, cell phones, hand-held devices, set-top boxes and digital TVs plans to expand its market share in India.
Suki Matharu, ATI representative for India, said, “From the technology point of view, we will compare our products with that of other companies to showcase our technology. We are trying to strengthen the brand and create awareness, through various plans that we have charted out.”
Currently ATI has tied up with MSI, Asus, Gigabyte, Sapphire, Shuttle, Jetway, Power color and a few more vendors, to provide integrated graphics for their motherboards. When asked about how they plan to gain market share from its competitors, Matharu said, “We would have lower prices and offer better sales service. Our primary focus is going to be reliability.”
ATI will not have its own distribution channel, but its integrated graphic chipset mobos will be available through the vendor’s distributor channel. They would also launch ad campaigns to create awareness.
