Mozilla.org releases security fix for Firefox 1.0.6

After the security problem reported, mozilla.org has issued a temporary workaround for this security bug. The problem has to do with the way Firefox handles International Domain names (IDN).
Users can install this update, or they can do the following:

  • Type about :config in the locations bar.
  • Type: network.enableIDN in the filter box and press enter.
  • Right-click network.enableIDN and change it from true to false.

More information about the IDN buffer overflow security issue can be found on the
Mozilla.org site.
