Plextor has announced the introduction of a new storage device and data sharing network.
Responding on behalf of PX-NAS2, this arrangement NAS (Network Attached Storage) is in the form of a black box with dimensions 13.5 x 12 x 25.5 cm.
It has two bays that can each accommodate a hard disk to 3.5 inch operator interface SATA 3 Gb/s and a storage capacity of up to 2TB.
It has a RJ-45 port in the front for the wired connection to the network in Fast Ethernet or USB 2.0 Gigabit Ethernet port on the rear for direct connection to the computer and a USB 2.0 port in the front for connecting external storage devices such as USB keys (synchronizing data through the button next to it).
Three references PX-NAS2-BL1, PX-NAS2-1T1 and PX-NAS2-2T1 are announced respectively at 225, 355 and 565 dollars. The first corresponds to the case without hard disk, in the second case with two hard drives of 500 GB each and the third box with two hard drives of 1TB each.
