Briksoftware today is pleased to announce the immediate availability of version 3.1 of CuteClips, now with localization support, a revisited user interface, better support for text expanding tools, and better support for pasting multiple clips. We are introducing localizations for French, German, Italian and Japanese, so non-English speaking users will have a much easier start with CuteClips.
A revisited user interface allows for easier access to advanced features in CuteClips, such as shortcut and sub clips. Shortcuts for clips reduce the search time for frequently used clips significantly while Subclips allow the user to only paste a certain aspect of a clip. For example, if you copied a file in the finder just to move it do a different location, with Subclips, you can now select just the name of that file from CuteClips, and paste it into an e-mail, leaving the file unattached.
In addition, CuteClips 3.1 now integrates better with text expander software like Typinator, TypeIt4me or TextExpander. The clips that are created by these applications during an expansion no longer show up in CuteClips anymore, maintaining your clipboard in the manner that it should be.
Lastly, a new dialog asks the user for text that is pasted between the clips, when the user chooses to paste multiple clips at once. Other features include: better support for Snow Leopard, better preview for URLs, support for TIFF image data on the clipboard, and a cleaned up preferences window.
