Siemon, a leading global manufacturer of IT network cabling and infrastructure systems, announces the release of their new tool-less quarter-turn D-ring cable managers. These easy to use cable managers are compatible with standard 9.5mm square mounting cutouts common to EIA/CEA industry standard cabinets and racks – Siemon’s simple quarter turn twist-locking feature is all it takes to quickly and easily secure the cable managers. Their ability to be quickly installed in any 9.5mm square mounting provision allows these cable managers to support cable routing in many areas and orientations, providing a highly flexible cable management option for planned deployments as well as unplanned moves, adds and changes. The quarter-turn D-ring cable managers are offered in both 3.50 x 1.75"(88.9 x 44.5mm) and 5.00 x 3.50"(127.0 x 88.9mm) sizes to accommodate a wide variety of cable counts and applications.
Siemon’s quarter-turn D-ring Cable managers are molded in durable, impact resistant polycarbonate thermoplastic material – the same material used in safety helmets, exterior automotive components and a variety of rugged industrial applications. They can withstand the long-term wear of many insertions and removals and offer the structural integrity to support high-capacity cable runs. And, unlike managers with metal wire construction, Siemon’s wider, molded bearing surface provides a large surface area to support cable, decreasing cable strain and deformation that can negatively impact cabling and overall network performance.
These cable managers join Siemon’s quarter-turn hook and loop cable managers in which a 0.38" (9.5mm) square hole-mounted twist-lock thermoplastic base secures hook and loop tie wraps to accommodate different sized cable bundles. Siemon’s quarter-turn hook and loop cable managers are available in 6"(152mm ), 12" (305mm), or 18" (457mm) lengths.
“These space-saving quarter-turn cable managers are ideal for routing and guiding copper or fiber cables in standard cabinets and racks across many applications and environments, " comments Randy Below, VP of Business Development for Siemon. “They are an especially cost-effective and simple solution for enclosure OEM’s wishing to provide maximum flexibility to their customers in accommodating many cable routing and mounting requirements."
